The colleagues of the Chamber of Accounts attended international conference in videoformat

On June 9, 2020 the colleagues of the Chamber of Accounts Zaur Valiyev, Sanan Aghakishiyev and Narmina Isayeva attended ECOSAI e-Seminar on "Audit of Sustainable Development Goals". The seminar was attended by the delegations of Turkey, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan SAIs and as observers delegations from Belarus, Qatar and Palestine SAIs. Online seminar was held on the technical basis of, Kazakhstan SAI, ECOSAI President.

 

Later on, the delegation of the Office of the Auditor General of Pakistan Ms. Shandana Nauman Khan gave information on NADRA, National Database and Registration Authority, its aims and outcomes. Moreover, Ms. Shadana Nauman Khan spoke on Pakistan Vision 2025 which is the natural consequence of SDGs and mentioned impacts of COVID-19 pandemic to Pakistan.

 

Later on, the delegation from the Turkish Court of Accounts Mesut Unal gave brief information on SDGs, noted the importance of Abu-Dhabi Declaration that was accepted in 2016, he also mentioned about INTOSAI’s Strategic Goals-2017-2022, important dates for Sustainable Development, SDGs in Turkey, and highlighted existence of 5 years Development Plan for Turkey.

 

Necip Bilgin from Turkish Court of Accounts spoke about Abu-Dhabi and Moscow declarations, SDG and INTOSAI and the importance of newly prepared IDI Guidance.

 

The delegation for the Kazakhstan SAI Lyailim Kashimova shared Kazakhstan SAI’s experience on SDG audit and mentioned existence of 25 National Development Goals. She noted that SDG audits are not conducted separately in Kazakhstan, however the audits conducted are related to SDGs. She also spoke about the implementation of state program for 2019-2020.

 

The representative of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Sanan Aghakishyev gave brief information on the activity of the Chamber, activity directions of newly established performance audit section, results in assessment of self employment efficiency for elimination of poverty and accepted law.

 

The seminar ended with mutual discussions.
