The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts V.Gulmammadov presented the Activity Report of the Chamber of Accounts for 2019
On April 27, 2020 the Activity Report of the Chamber of Accounts for 2019 was listened to at the Committee on Economic Policy, Industry and Entrepreneurhsip of Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan. According to the Law on the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan the Chairman Vugar Gulmammadov presented the report.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts provided information on presented Opinions duly drafted and submitted in 2019, and highlighted different directions reflected in those Opinions. Later on, V.Gulmammadov emphasized that performance audit was for the first time conducted in the reporting year and presented financial and compliance audit results.
V.Gulmammadov informed the deputies on the number of shortcomings identified in 2019 and their structure in different directions and added consolidated results of the measures taken by the institutions to eliminate those shortcomings. The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts generally provided overall information on the amount of funds recovered in the reporting year and results of other works.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts V. Gulmammadov informed the members of the parliament on the results of the analytical and monitoring activities of the Chamber of Accounts along with the audits and provided information on the scope of audits.
In the end, the measures taken for the fight against corruption, as well as strengthening the transparency and accountability and suggestions on improvement of budgetary legislation were mentioned.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts V.Gulmammadov concluded his speech by presenting the results of other administrative activities of the Chamber of Accounts.
