The colleagues of the Chamber of Accounts attended the international event
Nasir Sadigov, the Director of Legal Services and Personnel Department, Fargana Aliyeva, the Chief of Section of Relations with International Organizations and Supreme Audit Institutions, Nurane Safarova the senior consultant of Legal Support section of Legal Services and Personnel Department, Tamerlan Yusif-zada, leading consultant of Analytical Reports and Consolidation section of Review and Analysis Department of the Chamber of Accounts attended the seminar on “Legal Preconditions for Implementing ISSAIs in External Audit Practice in Eastern Partnership Countries” within the project on “Strengthening the capacity of Supreme Audit Institutions in the Eastern Partnership countries to monitor the achievement of UN Agenda 2030 objectives” in Lviv, Ukraine with the support of German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ). The delegations and experts representing supreme audit and public control offices of Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine and Belarus attended the seminar.
During the seminar, position papers on analysis of legislative acts of SAIs and public financial control bodies of member states were presented and discussions were held. Lacks in legal regulation of external public financial control was analysed for each participating country as well as proposals for improvement of relevant legislation were given to ensure the implementation of ISSAIs.
Additionally, during the seminar experiences of countries effectively implementing ISSAIs and ensuring efficient activity of the SAIs were discussed and relevant legal acts were analysed.
