Midterm Conference of Twinning Project “Strengthening of the Institutional and Administrative Capacity of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan” was held
Today the Chamber of Accounts hosted the Midterm conference of EU funded Twinning Project on “Strengthening the institutional and administrative capacity of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan”.
The goal of this project is to increase the current capacity of the Chamber to fulfil its mandate and in this way to contribute to the implementation of accountability, transparency, control and the reports in the sphere of public finance management in Azerbaijan.
EU funded project started on October 1, 2017 and is being conducted by Polish SAI with the support of experts from SAIs of Croatia and Slovakia and Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan as BC. The project will continue till December 2019.
The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Gulmammadov opened the conference, welcomed his Polish counterparts, guests and conference attendants and informed the conference participants on the importance of the project and works done so far.
The President of Polish Supreme Audit Office Mr. Krzysztof Kwiatkowski, Ambassador- Head of EU Delegation to Azerbaijan Mr. Kęstutis Jankauskas, Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Poland to the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Marek Całka, made speech during the meeting and gave information on works done and relations between Poland and Azerbaijan. Vice President of Polish Supreme Audit Office and MS Project Leader Mr. Wojciech Kutyła gave detailed information on the project to the conference participants.
The conference was also attended by project leaders of EU MS and BC partner institutions, the representatives from EU Delegation to Azerbaijan and the press agencies
