The delegation of the Chamber of Accounts attended III EUROSAI-ASOSAI Joint Conference.
Deputy Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts Adil Maharramov and Deputy Director of State Investments Audit Department Elvin Hajiyev attended III EUROSAI-ASOSAI Joint Conference on “Emerging Issues and Emergency Situations” (EIES-2019) held in Jerusalem, Israel. Conference was held in the Van Leer Institute and more than 125 participants from 44 countries attended the Conference.
Two main topics were discussed during the Conference. “Emergency situations” subtheme included preparations for natural disaster, disaster management, cyber security threats, and others, “Emerging issues” sub theme included dealing with the challenges of migration and refugees, aging populations, pensions, UN sustainable development goals, Digitalization, Blockchain, Big Data and more.
In the Opening Plenary Session State Comptroller and Ombudsman of Israel, Judge Josep Shapira greeted the attendants and noted the importance of the Conference. Welcome greeting was followed by opening remarks by 1st Vice President of EUROSAI- President of SAI of Czech Republic Mr, Miloslav Kala and Mr. Don Xuan Tien, Chair of ASOSAI and Deputy Auditor General of SAI Vietnam. Also, the delegation attended working sessions on “Real Time Audit of Emergency Situations-double challenges”, “Workforce in the year 2030-Is your country ready?” and “Preparing for Cyber Emergency Situations”.
Additionally, Conference was followed by the presentations on “Challenges of the Global Technology-driven Economy”, “Preparing for Cyber Emergency”, “Confronting Immerging Issues-Government Incentives to Stimulate Innovation”, “21st Century Mega Trends” and other topics in working sessions.
