Bilateral meetings were held within XVII session of the Council of SAIs Heads of CIS Member Countries

During XVII session of the Council of SAIs Heads of CIS Member Countries bilateral meetings were held with the delegations of SAIs of Russian Federation, Belarus, Kazakhstan and Moldova.

 

During the bilateral meetings between the delegations of the Chamber of Accounts of Azerbaijan Republic and the Accounts Chamber of Russian Federation the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan  Vugar Gulmammadov and the Chairwoman of Accounts Chamber of Russian Federation Tatyana Qolikova discussed the issues as preparing opinions to state and overall budgets by the Accounts Chamber of Russian Federation, conducting control activities on extrabudgetary funds, the experience of conducting control activities with the implementation of information technologies, the new electronic audit systems used by both institutions, especially the latest achievements made in social, health and education sectors and regular organization of trainings and seminars in these directions. 

 

The discussions held with the head of Belarus State Control Committee Leonid Anfimov and its delegation covered the issues as the future bilateral cooperation between the SAIs of Azerbaijan Republic and the Republic of Belarus, also the analysis of extrabudgetary financial statements, exchange of experience on conducting financial audit and arrangement of bilateral trainings.

 

The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Gulmammadov met with the Chairman of Accounts Committee of Kazakhstan Nurmukhammed Abdibekov. The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Gulmammadov initially congratulated N. Abdibekov on his appointment to this position and wished the successes in its work. The discussions were held on expansion of bilateral cooperation and was decided regularly organize bilateral meetings to exchange experience on conducting audits on extrabudgetary funds, holding performance audits and studying the experience of Kazakhstan SAI in certification of auditors.

 

During the discussions held with the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts Vyacheslav Untila the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan Vugar Gulmammadov congratulated him on his appointment to this position and wished him the achievements. The leaders of both SAIs agreed on holding bilateral meetings and trainings on analysis of financial statements presented with regard to the use of funds allocated from state budget, and implementation of opinions prepared with regard to the execution of state budget.

 

The session of the Council of SAIs Heads of CIS Member Countries was established in November of 2000 in Moscow with the establishment of the Accounts Chamber of Russian Federation. The sessions are joined by the SAIs of 9 countries. The establishment of session aims to support the social-economic development of CIS countries, coordination and effective exchange of SAIs activities.  The prioritized direction of the cooperation within the Council are the discussion of important theoretical and practical issues related with external audit, exchange of knowledge, practice and experience, conducting joint and parallel, bilateral and multilateral control activities, also professional training and qualification enhancement of SAIs staff.

 

The Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan has been cooperating with the Council since 2002 and is being represented in Expert Group on Key National Indicators and Working Group on Standards Elaboration of the Council of SAIs Heads of CIS Member Countries.

 

XVII session of the Council of SAIs Heads of CIS Member Countries held in Baku dedicated to the evaluation of performance results of SAIs.
