The Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts paid visit to the Kingdom of Morocco
The delegation of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan headed by the Chairman Mr. Vugar Gulmammadov paid visit to the Kingdom of Morocco on 22-24 March and had a meeting with Mr. Driss Jettou, President of the Court of Accounts of Morocco.
During the bilateral meeting the delegation was briefly informed about the Court of Accounts of Kingdom of Morocco, and the importance of improving the professional cooperation based on the close relations on country level and the existence of great opportunity in this direction were highlighted.
Later, the representative of the Court of Accounts gave detailed information about the features of the public external audit function in the Kingdom of Morocco in his presentation. The presentation covered the guarantees of the independence, structure, legal and audit functions, accountability system, international cooperation and etc. of SAI of Morocco. As a result of the meeting, the Chairman of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan Mr. Vugar Gulmammadov gave information about public financial management of the Republic of Azerbaijan, legislative environment, functions and responsibilities, performance indicators of the Chamber of Accounts and expressed the importance of joint collaboration by emphasizing the challenges faced by the SAI community.
Within the formal program the delegation of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan paid visit to the Mausoleum of Mohammed V and Hasan II according to the local protocol.
During the visit a meeting was held in Fes-Meknes Regional Office of the Court of Accounts. The local branch receiving the delegation provided practical information on organization of the activity, function and responsibilities, main challenges and etc. on regional level. The features of the same professional function carried out in two countries were thoroughly discussed in an interactive exchange of views with the representatives of the local branch.
