Chamber of Accounts of Republic of Azerbaijan celebrates its 15th anniversary

The establishment of the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan, external public financial control body of the Republic of Azerbaijan, is related with the name of national leader Heydar Aliyev. The establishment of the Chamber of Accounts was determined in the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan namely by Heydar Aliyev’s initiative and for the first time in Azerbaijan’s history, after the adoption of the Law on the Chamber of Accounts in 1999 the Supreme Audit Institution functioning as a external public financial control body – the Chamber of Accounts of the Republic of Azerbaijan was established.

 

With the appointment of the deputy chairman and 4 members by the relevant decisions of the Milli Majlis of the Republic of Azerbaijan the Chamber of Accounts began to operate on 7 December in 2007.

 

The most important duty of the Chamber of Accounts and its staff is to support the large-scaled activities implemented by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan - Ilham Aliyev and contribute to the realization of the economic course determined by the leader. The Chamber of Accounts will further firmly work to deserve the President’s confidence.
